MMA guide
Mixed martial arts on StreamEast lives on this page, and most of it is the UFC, which stages a card on most Saturdays of the year. When another promotion has a card with streams lined up, it goes here as well, with an MMA tag on its row where a UFC card shows UFC. Boxing is listed separately on the boxing page, and pro wrestling sits under WWE.
Numbered events and Fight Nights
A UFC event is either numbered or a Fight Night. The numbered events, about a dozen a year, get the biggest names and most of the championship bouts. Fight Nights fill the other weekends. They are usually headlined by contenders close to a title shot, and a good share of them are staged in the UFC's own small arena in Las Vegas, the Meta Apex.
Both kinds look alike on this page. A row is named after the event and the surnames of the two fighters in its main event, and a split card gets a second row with "Prelims" added to the name.
How the night is split
A UFC broadcast comes in blocks, and the order never changes: lower-ranked fighters first, the headline bout last.
| Block | Who fights | How it is listed here |
|---|---|---|
| Early prelims | The first bouts of a numbered event | Often no row of its own |
| Prelims | Fighters building toward the rankings | A row timed at the first prelim bout |
| Main card | The bigger names, ending with the main event | A row timed at the first main-card bout |
Prelims and main card rows are usually two or three hours apart, so they sit near each other under the same day. Most UFC bouts are scheduled for three rounds of five minutes. A main event or a title fight is set for five.
The main event has no start time of its own. It begins once the fight before it is over, which means a few quick knockouts bring it forward and several bouts that go to the judges push it back. As a rough guide, allow two hours or more after the time on the main card row.
Cards away from the US
For a card staged in the US, the main card usually starts at 8:00 or 9:00 PM ET. Events abroad follow the local evening instead. A card in Abu Dhabi or Doha can reach its main card in the afternoon on the Eastern clock, and one in Asia or Australia can fall early in the morning or very late at night.
Every row is set in Eastern Time. Once the page has loaded, the label on each upcoming row counts down to its start on your own device, so you never need to work out the time difference yourself. On the event page, a phone or computer running on some other time zone gets an extra line with the start in local time.
Other promotions
The schedule leans heavily on the UFC, but the page is not limited to it. A card from another promotion carries the MMA tag, and the promotion's name appears in the row title. Bare-knuckle events are filed under boxing on this site, so look for them on the boxing page.
Watching a card
Open the row for the part of the night you want. The Watch buttons on its page unlock one hour before that row's time, which means on a split card the prelims open first and the main card follows later. If you get there early, leave the tab open: the page reloads on its own just after the buttons go live. Once a card is under way, it moves to the top of this page under Live now.
Every button launches its stream in a fresh tab. If a stream stalls in the middle of a round, come back to the event page and pick the next row down. The links all lead to video on someone else's website. StreamEast keeps no video and asks for no account.
When a card has finished, its page is kept for 14 days with a note saying so, and after that the address brings you back to this page.
MMA questions
Why do the prelims have a separate row from the main card?
They begin at different times, often hours apart. With two rows, each part has its own countdown and its own Watch buttons, unlocked an hour before it starts.
What time does the main event start?
Nobody can promise that to the minute. Take the main card's time and add two hours or so, then adjust for how fast the earlier fights finish.
Why is there no row for the early prelims?
Not every block of a card gets a row. When the early fights have none, the prelims row is the first one for that event.
Where do I find boxing and bare-knuckle fights?
Both are on the boxing page. Other categories are on the home page.
