Privacy policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy covers the information streameast.gdn handles when you visit. The site has no accounts, forms or advertising, so there is not much to describe.
The short version
- You never sign up, log in or give us your name to use the site.
- StreamEast sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising scripts.
- Our hosting server and Cloudflare record ordinary request details, including your IP address and browser.
- One visitor counter, Histats, runs on every page and can set cookies.
- Watch buttons open other websites, which have their own policies, ads and cookies.
What our server records
Each time a page is requested, the web server adds a line to its access log: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the address requested, the response code and size, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string, which names your browser and operating system.
The logs help us fix faults and spot abuse, such as bots that hammer the server. They are not used to build profiles of visitors and are never sold.
Cloudflare
Traffic to streameast.gdn passes through Cloudflare, which sits between your browser and our server, keeps its own logs and filters out attacks. It may place a security cookie in your browser when it checks whether a visitor is a person. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that data.
The Histats visitor counter
Every page loads a counter from Histats (histats.com), an outside analytics service. When the counter runs, Histats receives your IP address and browser details, the page you are reading and the page that sent you here. From that it builds the totals we look at: visits per day, the most read pages, visitors' countries, and their browsers and devices. Histats can store cookies in your browser so that a return visit is not counted as a new visitor. If JavaScript is switched off, a tiny counter image loads instead and sends a simpler version of the same request.
We only see the totals Histats shows us. The visit data sits on Histats' own systems, and how long it is kept there is their decision.
Cookies at a glance
| Set by | What for | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| StreamEast | Nothing: our pages set no cookies | Nothing to do |
| Histats | Telling new visitors from returning ones | Block histats.com with a content blocker, or clear its cookies |
| Cloudflare | Security checks against bots | Delete it in your browser; it may return on a later visit |
| Sites opened by Watch buttons | Their own purposes, often advertising | Your browser's cookie and tracking settings |
Start times on your own clock
A short script built into each page reads the time zone your device is set to and, if it is not New York time, adds a "Your time" line to game pages and converts the stream unlock times to your clock. All of this happens inside your browser: the script stores nothing and sends nothing to us. Turn JavaScript off and nothing breaks: all times appear in ET, and the status labels stay as they were when the page loaded until you reload it.
Links to other sites
Watch buttons open stream pages on other sites, each in a new tab. Those pages often carry advertising and pop-ups, set their own cookies and keep their own logs; this policy does not cover them, and what they collect is up to them. Our Watch buttons are set up so the other site is not told which of our pages you came from, and other outbound links pass on our domain name only, never the full page address.
If you e-mail us
Writing to [email protected] gives us your e-mail address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply and to fix what you reported, and for copyright matters to keep a record of what was done. Nobody is added to a mailing list, and messages are not shared, with one exception: a copyright counter-notice may be forwarded to whoever sent the first notice, as the DMCA page explains.
How long things are kept
Our server's request logs are rotated every week and deleted after about five weeks. E-mails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with the matter, and copyright correspondence for longer, as a record. Histats and Cloudflare set their own retention periods.
Your choices
- A content or tracker blocker that blocks histats.com stops both the counter script and its fallback image.
- Your browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, for this site or for every site.
- Depending on where you live, the law may give you a right to see or delete personal data held about you. Nothing here is tied to a name or an account, but you can write to us about e-mails you sent or log entries for your IP address.
Children
StreamEast is a general sports schedule and is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent believes their child has e-mailed us, write to us and we will delete the message.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles information changes, for example because a new outside service is added, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
